Décalage
Décalage est un triptyque vidéo projeté sur trois écrans translucides suspendus dans l'espace. La vidéo, une étude formelle du rythme et de l'espace construit est décomposée en trois cadres identiques dont l'écoulement temporel se disloque et se recombine imperceptiblement pour former des enchevêtrements visuels sans cesses renouvelés.
La composition sonore est une combinaison de sons concrets capturés sur le site représenté dans la vidéo et d'une improvisation au violoncelle par Tyr Jami spécialement inspiré par la vidéo. Le son a reçu un traitement similaire a celui des images. Le temps et l’espace y sont disloqués et réajusté sans cesse faisant ainsi écho à la représentation visuelle.

Décalage is a video installation projected onto tree translucent screens. It is a formal study of space and pace, recorded in the architecture of the music school in Mexico City. The constructed space is explored in tree dislocated temporal fields that successively diverge and reconnect.
The sonic composition is crafted from concrete sounds captured on site with the video and some specially performed cello improvisation by Tyr Jami. Time and space are in turn dislocated and readjusted echoing the recombinatory structure of the video.
