habitgram (2004)
Entre architecture et téléprésence, habitgram teleture propose une mise en abyme du lieu d'exposition, à travers une relation originale entre les spectateurs et la projection d'images vidéo, d'animations 2d et 3d. habitgram est un vêtement de contre surveillance que les visiteurs sont invités à enfiler à tour de rôle. Plusieurs caméras miniatures y sont camouflées. Celles-ci permettent de capter l'univers immédiat du spectActeur qui est retransmis via plusieurs projections en temps réel sur les murs de la galerie. L'espace immédiat ainsi démultiplié permet au spectActeur d'expérimenter simultanément différents angles de la Galerie du point de vue inusité de ses genoux, de ses coudes ou du dessus de sa tète. En portant ainsi l' habitgram, les participants sont amenés en quelque sorte « à revêtir » le lieu où ils se trouvent alors que leurs mouvements corporels habite l'espace de la galerie.
Between architecture and telepresence, habitgram teleture proposes a “reflective structure” between the exhibition space, the viewers and participant, and the projection of video images including video, 2d drawings and 3d animations. habitgram is a counter surveillance coat that the visitor is invited to wear. Into it are inserted several wireless mini-cameras that pick up the immediate environment of the viewer/participant from the unusual point of view of the knees, the elbow or the top of the head. These live images are multiplied through real-time video projections on the gallery walls allowing experimentation with a new and disorienting type of multiple embodied perspective of the space. While wearing the habitgram, the participant “wears” the space in which (s)he is standing as well as projecting their own movements onto it.
