décalage

décalage is a video triptych installation projected onto tree translucent screens supsended in mid air across the exhibition space. It is a formal study of space and pace, recorded in the architecture of the music school in Mexico City. The building is explored in tree dislocated temporal fields that successively diverge and reconnect.
The sonic composition is crafted from concrete sounds captured on site with the video and some specially performed cello improvisation by Tyr Jami. Time and space are in turn dislocated and readjusted echoing the recombinatory structure of the video.
